Here’s something a lot of people don’t know: the W Here’s something a lot of people don’t know: the Winter Park Health Foundation used to have a broadcast studio inside our @centerhealthwellbeing. 🎥As our Communications goals evolved and we shifted to a new storytelling approach, we wanted to find a meaningful use for all of that equipment.What better way to support our community than by donating it to help educate the next generation of community storytellers?We reached out to our friends at the University of Central Florida Nicholson School of Communication and Media (@ucfnscm), and the rest is history.It's incredibly rewarding to know that students and faculty are getting so much out of the camera and other devices we donated."Ultimately, these new additions provide students with more hands-on experience using industry-standard equipment and a wealth of active learning opportunities,” said Michael Maguire, Assistant Director of Facilities and Operations and Media Productions Manager at the @ucf.edu Nicholson School.We can’t wait to see the stories these Knights go on to tell. ✨Follow @winterparkhealthfoundation for more on the partnerships, programs, and people working to strengthen the health of our community.
Suicide prevention and mental health are two of th Suicide prevention and mental health are two of the most pressing health needs for children, according to residents surveyed for Central Florida’s 2025 Community Health Needs Assessment.Yet many families still face barriers to care. In Orange County, more than 22 percent of respondents said their child needed mental or behavioral healthcare in the past year but did not receive it.The Winter Park Health Foundation is prioritizing investments in Youth Mental Health to expand access, strengthen support systems, and ensure every child gets the help they deserve.
